What is La Primitiva ?
King Carlos III of Spain originally introduced La Primitiva in 1763. The original name of the this game was “Lotera por nmeros,” which translates to “number lottery.” The game’s objective was to collect money for the Spanish Treasury, which at the time was experiencing financial difficulties. The lottery was an instant hit and soon gained popularity as a means of funding for the Spanish government.
